Tomorrow 5th Dec is H.M the Kings Birthday (Fathers’ Day)
Thailand is celebrating a monumental event this week: the 80th birthday of the revered King Bhumibol.
Fireworks will light the skies Wednesday night and many Thais will perform charitable acts to honor the king, such as donating blood. Across the Buddhist nation, people will also show respect for the monarch by performing merit-making ceremonies that typically involve freeing captive animals, including birds, turtles and fish.
On this day Thai people celebrate the birthday of the worlds longest reigning King, His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
This day which falls on the 5th December is a national holiday, and is also celebrated as Fathers Day, as the King is considered by Thai people to be the father of Thailand.
Thais take the time to pay their respects to their King. People will often decorate their houses with flags and banners, say prayers, and generally celebrate the greatness of their King, Rama IX of the Chakri Dynasty.

New law change at the local government department, Hua Hin.
The government department has just recently implemented a new law, that all owners of a new home in the Hua Hin area must supply a fire extinguisher in the home, under the home safety regulations. 1: The extinguisher must be kept inside the home. 2: If the extinguisher is mounted on the wall it must be no higher than 1.4 meters.
Due to the fact that all new homes are open to inspection from the local government, we have placed a fire extinguisher in all the homes at Manora Village for you in your absence to avoid possible problems; which will be charged to all the owners, we had contacted several fire extinguisher suppliers the best quotation was 1,450 Bath including a 2 year free service.
